What is Fast Track selection?

Fast Track Selection aka FTS is a conducted by Indian Air Force to select candidates for the respective branch. FTS is conducted in short amount of time and there is no fixed duration for the release of its notification, it may or may not happen yearly which is totally based on the number of vacancies.
Syllabus of Fast Track Selection
  1. Written Test Like AFCAT
  2. Screening Test Like SSB or AFSB Interview
    • PPDT
Test Procedure of Fast Track Selection
  1. On the spot registration
  2. Written Test 
  3. PPDT ( for candidate those who have cleared written test)
  4. Allotment of AFSB centre and Dates for AFSB Interview ( only for candidates those who have cleared PPDT)
Note: Candidate who fails in written test will be routed back.

Documents Required for Fast Track Selection

  • Two copies of pre-filled FTS Admit Card (on A4 size paper) as per format given in this advertisement.
  • Original certificate and Marksheet of class Xth (as proof of date of birth) and of class XIIth.
  • Original certificate and mark sheets (all semesters/years) of Graduation.
  • Proof of identity such as Passport, Driving Licence, Voter Identity Card, College Identity Card or any other valid photo identity proof.
  • Three recent colour passport size photographs.

Who is eligible for Fast Track Selection?

  • Both men and women with qualification and age as mentioned in the notification.
  • One who has already attend AFSB interview for the same course is not eligible for FTS. (Suppose you have already attend AFSB for the same course through AFCAT or CDSE Entry)
In short, FTS is more like AFCAT entry but here IAF personnel will be coming to major cities and conducting it with speed as the name say FAST TRACK. Also it is an additional opportunity for the candidates those who have missed AFCAT entry or failed in AFCAT written test.
